Scranton Educators to Discuss How to End the Strike
SCRANTON, Pa.—The Scranton Federation of Teachers will hold a community town hall meeting on Thursday evening to discuss how the educators’ strike can and should end.
“Now entering the third week of the strike, Candis Finan, the state’s chief recovery officer, has not responded to fair proposals that would bring our students back into classrooms. We want to discuss with parents and the wider Scranton community what’s going on, and we want to let them know that we intend to keep our word that a new contract must be fair to teachers and paraprofessionals and good for kids,” SFT President Rosemary Boland said. “This town hall will be an opportunity not only to talk with the community, but to hear from parents and other community members.”

WHEN: 6 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 18
WHERE: Twentieth Ward Social and Athletic Club
2028 Pittston Ave., Scranton, PA 18505
